The facial cost S$180 but fully redeemable for any Sulwhasoo products, hence the facial would be effectively complimentary if one selected sufficient sulwhasoo products. The event was held at the atrium area of VivoCity in a specially built up area with capsule salons.
Sulwhasoo Snowise EX range
According to the MIL, the lady who attended to her during the facial was a South Korean, specially flown in for the week-long event. An aunt accompanied the MIL during the facial and was taken care of by a Singaporean sales associate.
The feedback from the two ladies (average age 61 years old) was that the facial itself was very relaxing, with incense sticks being burnt during the facial. One felt that the therapist's hands were too warm whereas the other felt that there wasn't enough pressure applied during the facial. When I asked if they gave the feedback on the spot so the therapists could adjust, they both replied in the negative. Can't please everyone if you don't indicate your preferences!
This being a mall event, there were no special salon equipment. However, a direct-mailer I received in the past indicated that they ran the same event at The Loft, SEVIN at Tangs (a dedicated salon area) and facials there would probably have the full range of equipment.
Ingredient list and instruction for Sulwhasoo Snowise EX cleansing foam
The ladies ended up buying the same Sulwhasoo Snowise products to redeem their $180. They bought the Snowise EX Whitening masks (S$162 for 10 sheets) and the Snowise EX cleansing foam (S$50 for 150ml). The sales associate was very kind and gave them additional pieces of the whitening masks and samples of the whitening serum. The MIL was very impressed with the cleansing foam, she was gushing about how much fairer it made her hand when the therapist tried it on one hand.
